I purchased a very expensive gaming computer (about $2800) and monitor for my son for Christmas 2024. I purchased the comprehensive geek squad (best buy) member protection plan that should allow for easy repairs and troubleshooting. The computer stopped finding the 60'' monitor about 1 month ago and I could not figure out why.
Paid $110 for home visit and waited a week for the appointment. They were NO CALL NO SHOW and had someone at home waiting all day. Tried to call or email for clarity on the next step but NO response. I spent 3 hours dismantling the computer, driving 2 hours round trip to the store. They ran some tests and said it was working--showed me they got the screen connected. The guy there was great. and told me to call him if there were any more problems when I got home.
Unfortunately, I got the computer home and SAME problem. Tried calling the store, NOPE can't call the store anymore just a plethora of corporate nonsense forcing you to make more online appointments and NEVER speak to a human being.
Now, they are requesting that I dismantle the device again and come to the store. I want them to come fix it OR refund my money but prefer they just provide the services i paid for. Filing a complaint with the BBB, because every avenue of resource they provider are essentially useless.
The greeter and ironically the cashier named Brenda S. was such help, very knowledgeable and pleasant. An asset to the business
