The store itself may be great, but the Geek Squad experience is absolutely terrible. Brought my iPhone in for a back screen repair since they apparently are a Certified Apple Store extension. Sat there for almost an hour for them to just order the part. Came back when part was ready, dropped my phone off for the repair. They had my phone for 5 hours and never called my spouse saying it was ready. Then I was told I needed another appointment to pick up, even though the associate said “come back in four hours when we call you”.
Pick up my phone, back glass is repaired but induction charging and flashlight now don’t work (which they did before the repair). Take it back a third time and am told the “the motherboard is broken”. 99% sure they damaged it while repairing back glass, and rather than taking ANY RESPONSIBILITY for it, they tell me to try KOP Apple Store and act like it was broken the whole time. Don’t take your Apple products here because you’re held hostage with no resolve to your problem. If anything I have more problems than just a cracked back panel.
I have not visited Best Buy too often but have had good experiences. Recently my HP laptop top died after four years. My operating system was corrupted and I could not boot it. I actually purchased a replacement from Best Buy figuring it might be at end of life. The Geek squad worked on my old Computer and got it running again with some tweaks to have it more stable and protected. In the meantime I still had the new one which I opened and set up. The old was working well so I returned the new one no questions asked full refund. I was very pleased with my entire experience. Would recommend them for trouble shooting and getting help and purchasing new when needed.
