I purchased an item through the Geek Squad by telephone. The Geek Squad member ordered the wrong item and the Geek Squad refused to install it. I tried to return the item to the store after 9 days. Best Buy “Customer Service” would not return the item because, unbeknownst to me, the item was sold by a third party vendor and I couldn’t return the product to the Store. I was told by one of the Managers that Best Buy was trying to be like Amazon and use third party vendors. If I wanted a third party vendor, I would have used Amazon or EBay. I trusted Best Buy to do the right thing and provide customer support but they failed miserably!!!

Absolutely unacceptable experience. I would strongly caution anyone against purchasing an appliance from Best Buy. I paid extra for delivery and installation of a dishwasher and have dealt with missed scheduled dates, delivery and pickup failures, hours of my time wasted waiting around, and an unbelievable amount of frustration just trying to get a service I already paid for.
I rearranged my schedule multiple times based on dates BEST BUY gave me, only for them not to follow through. I should not have to repeatedly call, chase down answers, and fight to get a dishwasher delivered and installed after paying extra for exactly that service.
At this point, I have completely lost confidence in Best Buy’s appliance delivery and installation process. I’m taking my business elsewhere and would recommend anyone considering an appliance purchase do the same.
