What do the employees do? I went in with the total intention of buying a new tablet. The greeter asked if she could help find anything as I walked in and directed me to the tablets. I found the tablet i wanted immediately but no one else was around to help and they are locked up. There were a total of 3 customers in the store at any given time, I was there for 20 minutes looking in the tablet section and not one employee asked if they could help me. In fact there were no employees around other than at the front of the store and in the back of the store. What's the point? I left without purchasing anything. This is why in person commerce is dying.
FRAUD ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best Buy destroyed my laptop while it was in their possession during a trade-in — and their own security footage confirmed it.
Since then, I have followed up dozens of times by phone and email and in person to the store and still have no resolution. The laptop is now completely nonfunctional, the battery appears to be swelling (not sure why they would ship a potentially hazardous item but thats another federal law broken), and there has been virtually zero urgency, concern, or accountability from anyone I’ve dealt with, from the store level to centralized customer service.
The “store phone number” doesn’t even connect you to the store. It routes to a call center. I have repeatedly asked for someone from the actual store to call me and those calls simply never happen. When visiting the store they can see the number of times I have called with this issue and yet no one seemed to care enough to return a call.
At this point, its all but confirmed that Best Buy is leveraging fraudulent and deceptive business practices. Best Buy took my property, destroyed it, and left me to chase them for weeks and I am still without a resolution.
Mistakes happen. Destroying a customer’s property and then showing no urgency or willingness to fix it is unacceptable.
Best Buy already knows what happened. Their own cameras proved it. Resolve it.

This location is inadequately staffed. I made a service appointment under the assumption that I wouldn’t have to wait in a line to drop off my device for repairs. Instead, I waited at the Geek Squad desk for more than 30 minutes past my time before being seen by anyone. I chose this location over the Apple Store out of convenience for proximity, but if I knew that this would happen, I would have driven the couple extra miles to park city. So many monitors, a queue that lasts the entire day, and only 1-2 people working at a given time. It puts unnecessary strain on the workers who are helping 3 customers at once, and the problem clearly rests with management. I will not be using this service again.
