Stopped in to pick up a few things yesterday and, as usual with Best Buy, I was not impressed.
Every Best Buy I walk into now feels like it's on the verge of closing.
The customer service at this location is nonexistent.
I had a product I wanted to purchase but after five minutes at the register and no one offering to help I left it on the counter and went elsewhere.
I bought a 75" TV from them and had an hour and a half drive back home. When they were wheeling it out to my truck they noticed that it was about to storm. I was going to just drive back, but they insisted I protect the TV. Brandon and Miss Debby helped me wrap the tv and protect it from the storm. Thanks to their great customer service and care, my TV got home safely and dry!
Always got what I need and I get my items from the open box. Tv was as described and I was happy. Pick up was a breeze!!
I hurried into Best Buy just more than a week ago and realized they closed an hour earlier than I'd perceived. My goal was to replace my laptop, but I knew the limited time before closing - fewer than thirty minutes - meant I would only be starting the narrowing process and not exiting with a new laptop.
I encountered a guy on staff named Charlie Hall and I alerted him I'd not be making a purchase decision but, instead, getting apprised in order to return the following day, research more, and arrive at a purchase verdict.
Charlie graciously understood and I asked if he'd be okay chatting thru my needs and thinking despite him not being able to make the actual sale. Charlie began listening to my conveying how I'd use the laptop and the capabilities it would need.
Work zero pressure and zero push on Charlie's part, he began taking notes in his brain and began narrowing the logical scope of options to fit my functions, intended usage, price range, and more.
I'm short order, he narrowed his thoughts to two laptops and - I couldn't be more astonished - I exited that very night with the EXACT ONE best suited to all my specs.
Charlie was brilliant, easy going, kind, a tremendous listener, clear in his own articulation, and helpful beyond belief.
I imagine others on staff share similar or possibly identical characteristics to Charlie Hall; if so, Best Buy is the huge winner and, so too, ones who shop there.
Surely, experiences will vary store to store and employee to employee; one thing is clear to me: when I venture back into this Best Buy location, I will definitely discover if Charlie is working and free to help my wife and me as he did that evening.
