bought a laptop from Best Buy just two days ago, and it started having issues right away — the “3” key didn’t work from the start. The sales rep told me it was in perfect working order and had been checked by Geek Squad, which clearly wasn’t true.
When I brought it back, Geek Squad said to just exchange it. I wasn’t told anything about a charge for data transfer. At customer service, I was told the same model was only available as a “brand new” unit — for $50 more — and the data transfer would cost another $140.
So after buying a defective laptop, I was expected to pay nearly $200 extra just to get one that actually works. I spoke with two managers, and neither saw a problem with that.
This is unacceptable and extremely poor business practice. I trusted Best Buy to stand behind their products — instead, I was met with extra charges, excuses, and zero accountability.
I grabbed 3 iPhone cases and 1 set of Apple Watch at tag price by the time I got to the register they changed the prices and said the items are not marked down maybe someone misplaced them. It can’t be 3 different products be misplaced. Rude and disrespectful customer service they treat all people like their thieves and taken advantage. They don’t know that $39 case mean nothing so some people.
This place’s customer service sucks so bad went inside to pick up a gift for my girlfriend. And marissa the customer service manager who told me to not bring my business back even tho im the one who paid for the laptop and provided everything but since its not in my name on the order you can thank her for not having my business anymore or my family’s.
So disappointed with the quality of the products at best buy. In Aug 2025 I purchased a washer and stove and the first time I tried the washer it wouldn't spin tried several times and it never did work right. I called and they came and picked it up. I went to the store a few days later and picked out a different washer. Well, here it is October and the locking mechanism is broken on my new washer. I guess when the guy I spoke to asked if we wanted to purchase a warranty said well after 15 days we can't make anything good for you. When he said that I should have stopped the purchase.
