I just cannot bring myself to let this slide it left such a horrible taste in my mouth. Last year 2024 my family purchased 3 large appliances from this Best Buy ( washer, dryer, and fridge). We have been a loyal customer ever since this Best Buy opened. But on June of last year I came in to get a laptop screen replaced within the 2 year insurance coverage that was purchased for around $200. I was told that this was actually a subscription that had to be paid monthly. My Father who paid the $200 up front was not told that this was a subscription that had to be paid monthly. My Dad has never done a monthly subscription to best buy in his life, only yearly insurance coverages has he paid for. And that is what he thought he was getting was a 2year insurance coverage for the laptop. We dealt with 2 employees there, Virgil and Vasilio. Both men were extremely rude to us and not willing to be helpful in the situation what so ever. For a repair that probably would have cost Best Buy $20 they were willing to lose a loyal customer for good. And that is exactly what has happened. WAS IT REALLY WORTH IT!!!!!! I guess Best Buy has never heard the saying the customer is always right! Do what you can to help the customer out in the situation. VIRGIL AND VASILIO WOULD NOT HELP OUT AT ALL. All they cared about was telling us that we were wrong!!!! when clearly my Father was not told exactly what he was paying for with the insurance. BEST BUY IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH. THEY HAVE LOST OUR BUSINESS FOR GOOD! HOPE IT WAS WORTH IT!!!! GOOD RIDDANCE.

We do have a My Best Buy Total membership that allows for protection for up to two years while the membership is active. There is an option when the protection passes the two years that you would have the option to continue with monthly protection cost. There are also some variations available through Apple. Very bad customer experience. They lied on the face when trying to price match. And, completely ignored when tried to explain.

I would avoid going to this Best Buy if possible. The general manager (Vasilio) is extremely rude and will treat you like you’re trying to scam Best Buy when you’re just trying to return something. For context, I was told by the Best Buy chat agent I could return a defective item at any Best Buy store. I went to this one to return it. Vasilio, the general manager treated me like I was trying to scam Best Buy by returning the item. He was extremely rude and condescending, told me I couldn’t return the item. When I asked for clarification because I was just told by the chat agent I could return it, he told me that the person “probably isn’t even in America” and he “doesn’t care”. He then said he isn’t going to have a back and forth to explain what happened and walked away.
