Long review, but buyers be warned:
I so wanted this to be a successful experience. At those prices, often times it sounds too good to be true, and sometimes it just is. As in our case.
We bought 2 TV, a Samsung Frame 55" and Samsung S95D 77". Both open boxes. Both are guaranteed by and checked/inspected by the geek squad.
Upon opening the 77" at our house, we realized it didn't have the One Box (the connector box. This is their proprietary box, and you need it for power, cable management, and everything in between, or else the tv is useless) nor did it have the controller.
My Tv installer guy got paid an hour and left, without having been able to do anything. So that's money I'll never get back. Upon returning to Best Buy I was told immediately that this is a recurring issue with S95D and that they were not going to provide a One Box simply because they just didn't have them and that corporate told them to go ahead and sell them anyways.
TV, taxes, and delivery? Near $2k. So their whole game is to sell you a TV they know 💯 does not have a one box virtually all the time and then you return it. And the cycle goes on and on? It makes no sense. The fact that pne of the employees laughed right away when I showed him the tv receipt was disheartening. He knew exactly why I was there because It happens all the time.
I ended up returning the TV (surprise).
The fact that everyone at the outlet knew this tv always has this problem and still sell them is terrible.
As for the Frame, we opened it to find "almost" everything in there. We are installing it now, and I'll update my review with an additional star if that one works. Fingers crossed I don't have much hope.
Make sure you check everything. Sometimes there’s damage on the bottom and you won’t see it until you load.
