Failed in One Foot of Water—Best Buy Would Not Honor the Return I purchased the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 specifically for a once-in-a-lifetime cruise to the Caribbean. Since I knew I would be participating in water excursions, I wanted a reliable waterproof camera that could capture high-quality video. Unfortunately, the camera failed the very first time I used it. After approximately one hour in a natural lagoon in Cancun, the camera began glitching and the screen stopped working. It was never submerged in more than one foot of clear, fresh water. Because of this failure, I could not use the camera for the remainder of my trip. To make matters worse, I attempted to return the defective camera to Best Buy within the 14-day return period, but they initially denied the return because they claimed it had water damage. This camera is advertised as waterproof up to 40 feet, yet it failed in only one foot of water during normal use. The only way Best Buy would accept the defective product was by pressuring me to purchase their extended warranty. I should not have been required to pay for additional coverage just to return a defective product that was still within the return period and did not perform as advertised. How can a product be marketed as waterproof, fail under normal conditions, and then have the customer blamed for water damage? I am extremely disappointed with both Insta360 and Best Buy. This camera prevented me from capturing important memories during a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and neither company properly stood behind the product. I will not purchase from Insta360 or Best Buy again.
