Best Buy Round Rock

I will never shop at Best Buy again!! It’s like they have purposely made shopping harder than it should be. My son’s laptop needed a repair. He had cracked his screen. We had a protection plan on the laptop. We told the young man working in Geek Squad this. He even looked it up to confirm. He gives us our copy of the receipt to send it off to the repair facility in Kentucky. Unfortunately even though we told him it had a protection plan, even though he looked it up Brian puts manufacturer warranty on the paperwork. So 2 weeks later the repair facility emails me that it’s $200 before they will start the repair! I call the customer service line and the representative looks it up and confirms the protection plan. She tells me she will contact the repair facility to let them know. Another 2 weeks goes by and the repair facility emails me that they can’t fix the laptop after all. The protection plan provides us with the ability to exchange the broken laptop for a new one. However my son is now in college in Tyler. A 4.5 hour drive from Austin. I call what I think is the Round Rock store only to learn it’s a national call center. You can’t call a Best Buy store directly anymore!! I go back to the Round Rock store to find out if I pay here in Austin can my son pickup the new laptop in Tyler. They say yes, process the exchange and my son will pickup his new laptop tomorrow in Tyler. Now I just have to decide when I want to drive to Tyler to pickup my laptop I let my son borrow till his got fixed. Best Buy’s in person customer service used to be what set them apart from Amazon!! That’s no longer the case!! Best Buy you lost me as a customer forever!!

Dude at the laptop area was the worst went on a Saturday at 6 pm and a African American dude was not even wanting to sell the laptop looks like he had no interest at working there worst customer service ever no smile no good interaction

I went to pick up an order for my boss for a wedding I was working where the photographer had called out! There was a little bit of complications due to the fact that I wasn’t the one who had placed the order. However, the staff was so patient and helpful and also made sure I got everything in the order and double check to make sure everything was correct as it was for a wedding that was happening that day!
