My bf recently had a frustrating experience at Best Buy while trying to buy a Pixel 9 Pro XL. Upon entering the store, we were greeted by a heavyset lady at the front who was incredibly rude and dismissive. Her attitude set a negative tone for my visit right from the start. My boyfriend checked online and confirmed that the store had the phone in stock, but when I approached the Geek Squad team for assistance, they were unhelpful and seemed uninterested in addressing my concerns. Instead of providing any guidance or support, they brushed us off, leaving us feeling even more frustrated. Overall, our experience at Best Buy was disappointing. The lack of customer service and the rude demeanor of the staff made the whole process far more difficult than it needed to be. I expected better from a place that prides itself on customer service and tech expertise. We won’t be returning anytime soon.

Purchased Pixel 9 Pro XL over the phone with a best buy representative and when I got to the store. My phone was not there. When someone is spending over $1k+ on a device mistakes like this are extremely unacceptable. I need to compensated for this.

My son saved up and purchased an Inspiron 14” laptop for college, and after just seven months, the hinge broke, preventing him from opening the screen. We took it to Best Buy’s Geek Squad for repair. Unfortunately, the technician, forced the screen open, cracking it and worsening the hinge issue. I was shocked to learn the repair would cost nearly $577 and was not covered by the manufacturer. Despite multiple calls and escalations, including discussions with managers Andrew and Jeremy, they insisted the damage wasn’t covered, blaming me for the cracked screen. I explained that the screen was fine until it was forcibly opened at their store during diagnosis. Their policy to assess the screen this way caused the damage. I’ve been clear in my communication, but their records misrepresented my description, leading to this frustrating situation. I would advise anyone considering Geek Squad repairs to be extremely cautious and to document everything, literally walk in recording. File a complaint with Consumer Protection Agencies as the leadership at this store is questionable.
