I stopped by this Best Buy to exchange a video game and wanted to browse the available games for my console before choosing a replacement. What struck me as odd was that none of the games for that console were available to browse on the sales floor they were all kept in the back. As a customer who was simply trying to see what options were available, it felt like the expectation was that I should already know exactly which game I wanted before asking for assistance. The experience felt more like an inconvenience to the staff than an opportunity to help a customer. Rather than offering to show me the available selection or help me explore my options, the interaction felt minimal and unhelpful. The overall atmosphere of the store also seemed quiet and disengaged, which didn’t leave a great impression. I’ll likely make the extra drive to the Alamo Ranch or La Cantera locations in the future, where I’ve had much better customer service experiences.
