I purchased a $1500 Dell all in one as well as the yearly Geek Squad membership as a gift for my dad. They said it would send him an email if I put his name as the membership, so to keep it a surprise, they put my name and said his name was listed so that he wouldn't have a problem using it. When he called to try and set up the computer they acted like they didn't know what he was talking about. I've tried over and over to reach someone by phone and the automated system actually hangs up on me and never gets me through to a live person. I'm very disappointed with the whole purchase and will just cancel the geek squad since they were so rude and disrespectful to my elderly father.

The great Best Buy, has fallen. The once king of electronics stores is really no more and now irrelevant. The last two or three times I've gone into Best Buy, I was not able to pick up what I needed. They have really started to cater only to certain areas and anything else outside of those silos is ignored.
It's no wonder that the big box stores cannot compete with the online Amazons of the world. All I was looking for is additional RAM for my son's gaming laptop which back in the day would have been a very easy item to find in this store. Nowadays, after asking a store associate, they had no options available for me. Nothing even close. So sad.
I left the store, went back to my car and hopped on Amazon where I was able to get 8MB of RAM shipped to my door overnight... the price was very good too.
My how times have changed. I would much rather buy from the physical store but if the item I need is not there, there are no options left...
Best Buy still the worst. Associates are still stuck up and not willing to help with anything.
