As a Best Buy Geek Squad member for years now, I am very disappointed and saddened by the customer service I just received from Dustin at the Sugar Land store. I had several questions about the membership benefits. I was just instructed that perks I received previously are no longer offered. I asked Dustin to explain the automatic renewal process and the updates to me. Dustin said he wasn’t available initially when his presence was requested. When I said I’d really like to speak to him, he came out with a full attitude, as if he didn’t have time for my concern. I was told”check your spam or call customer service. I don’t personally keep up with that information.”
Funny enough, there was another customer at the counter as I was leaving sharing his exact same customer service issue with Dustin. “Dustin approached this gentleman saying “What’s up man?” with a posture that reflected, “What now?” This was this gentleman’s second time in the store about a tv he purchased.
Dustin should not be the example of management that the other employees have to model. This should’ve been handled better and with more appreciation for a long term member and Best Buy credit card holder.
