I have always had a soft spot for Best Buy and have generally preferred shopping there over ordering from an online-only retailer. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has caused me to reconsider that loyalty.
Because I live a little over an hour from the Wichita Falls store, I tried calling ahead to ask a simple question before making the drive. Instead of reaching someone at the store, I was routed through an automated AI system that was unable to help me. I could not get my question answered, and I was never given a clear option to speak with an actual employee.
The entire experience was unnecessarily frustrating. One of the main reasons I choose a local retail store is the expectation that I can receive personal assistance when I need it. If customers cannot contact the store or speak with someone before driving more than an hour, much of the advantage of shopping locally disappears.
I do not particularly enjoy buying everything online, but if Best Buy is going to make the customer experience feel no different from dealing with an online-only company, then I have to question why I should continue choosing Best Buy over its competitors. I sincerely hope the company reconsiders how difficult it has become for customers to reach a real person.

the worker didnt help me when i asked a question he shrugged his shoulders and just walked away
As a recent customer who made a sizable purchase from this store my advice is do NOT use the Geek Squad.
The installers I dealt with and another who had to come back the second round were inept and seemed only interested in selling me more add ons and how quickly they could be in and out.
Ouch
I was ordered extra equipment for installation of a patio TV and after the second team told me it couldn’t be used I was stuck with it because Amber the store “manager” said it needed to be returned in 21 days which I was never informed.
I held on to the equipment for two reasons I had to bring in another company to finish the installation and they told me it was the wrong way to do it which they were right and my wife required knee surgery in the interim.
If you need any installation of TVs or home theater contact Installation Specialists of Texas-Mike Hagan
They stand behind their work and know their business
I’ve been in the medical field for over 45 years and always listened to my patients and was on top of their ailments and complaints
Shame on you Amber and Best Buy of Weatherford for pushing the responsibility of your so called Geek Squad off on a third party that your installers told us to purchase from.

I’m not sure what was happening yesterday at this location, but they did not have the employees checking out customers in the normal check out areas. Instead, they had us all waiting in the customer service line on people that needed 10, 15, & 20 minutes plus of assistance with credit cards, their bill or whatever else. Several of us had only one item to purchase but had to wait several minutes in this line to get help. One customer tried paying with cash but they didn’t have cash change to give him back. It took three employees to find a way to get him change. One employee snapped at another customer inquiring about the long wait times that they were short staffed and had only four employees in the store. While that’s unfortunate, that’s not the customer’s problem. I hope they are able to fix these issues. This wasn’t acceptable.
