Carson helped me out in choosing a TV today. His knowledge and input were excellent and helped me pick the perfect TV for our living room. After talking with him I’m realizing I would have picked the wrong TV if I walked out with the TV I originally thought I needed. Excellent and helpful staff, he was attentive while I did all sorts of googling etc in addition to what he was telling. Couldn’t have had a better experience today. Great work Carson!
The door greater was very nice and helpful
Their phone robot sucks. I have been trying to reach the store department, and after several calls, where it just kept transferring me to overseas people who said they were going to transfer me to the store upon explaining that I needed to reach customer service at my local store for an in-person purchase, they kept accidentally sending me to the wrong department with overseas people. It does not appear that there's any way to reach the store outside of physically going in person. This makes it very hard for me to trust that I can work with this store, or any location going forward.
I will never do business with Best Buy again. I bought a $3400 TV, when I was checking out, the desk was covered with business cards. I took a business card with my salesman’s name on it, and it had the store number with an 801 area code. I decided to upgrade the TV, so I called the store in Riverdale, and it went to a call center. I called three times and every time it went to a call center. The third time I spoke with the representative and asked them to please transfer me to the store and they told me “the stores do not accept phone calls anymore” I explain to him that I was looking at a business card with the store number and the TV department manager’s name. And he said they cannot transfer phone calls to the store. He said the only way you can communicate or do business is to physically going into the store. I told him that was the stupidest thing I ever heard. I got transferred two more times and finally I said, “forget about it, cancel my order.”
This policy whereby Best Buy refuses to accept phone calls from the public, especially when they provide the store phone number and business cards is one of the stupidest policies I’ve ever heard of in my entire life. Best buy has lost my business FOREVER!!
