I purchased an open box Yamaha receiver - very expensive receiver - RX-a8a. It was shipped out of California and when it came it looked like someone had beat it with a bat. No packing, just tossed it into the box. This was a $3,000 receiver treated like it was a garbage box. Since there was no packing, maybe their idea of "excellent" maybe wasn't so "excellent" anyway - maybe I dodged a bullet. But really? No packing? Sheesh - what a waste. They should have to replace it for me - but of course they take ZERO responsibility for their shipping practices and don't insure their packages either.
Service is good. But if you want to call and ask anything it just goes to an AI-botslop so if you actually want to get an answer. You have to go in person to ask.
