I would have given this store 1 star if it weren’t for the supervisor stepping in and doing the right thing. I found an Xbox controller on sale at a local chain competitor (literally next door). I had a Best Buy certificate that I wanted to use, so I figured Best Buy could price match the competitor and let me use the certificate for an additional discount.
Long story short, the initial employee told me that I needed to buy a Best Buy Total membership just to get the price match. I was pretty surprised and called BS on him. I double-checked the price match policy and membership perks—none of them stated what the employee claimed.
He ended up calling his supervisor, who took care of everything with no questions asked.
So, DOUBLE CHECK when they try to sell you the BS membership.
