The Geek Squad ruined my laptop. It was working fine when I brought it there and asked them to help me reset my password to do a factory reset and now Apple is telling me I have to replace it because whatever they did to reset it ruined my laptop! It was not “corrupt” prior to me bringing it to them and it showed it received the latest Apple update which wouldn’t have installed if it was “corrupt”!

By all means, please avoid the incompetent so-called "Geek Squad" at this Newport News, Virginia, Best Buy location. Especially if you own a luxury vehicle, as they get very intimidated and refuse to service their own products without providing an explanation or alternative solutions. The so-called "Geek-Squads" lack of communication and unwillingness to assist, left me without the installation help I needed after purchasing their product. I expected professionalism, transparency, and better customer service. There appear to be some lazy "Geek Squad" workers at this location, as there is no signage on their door, letting you know that they exist. This store's "Geek-Squad" apparently doesn't check its installation schedules either. They could have simply called me when they saw the make of my vehicle to let me know that they are not competent and skilled enough to do the installation on it.
Based on my experience with these Geeks at this Best Buy in Newport News, I would not recommend these Geeks to anyone.
No one I asked would help me. Just pointed in directions even after being told I need help. Seems more like a hang out for kids than a business.
