Went in for some new AirPods. Wasn’t greeted by anyone or offered assistance in the section so I wandered around a bit to find the model. The device itself was locked behind a metal cabinet (understandable). What confused me was the printed directions to scan a QR code to order online for pick up in the store. So I did just that. It kind of made sense because there really aren’t any conventional registers or a dedicated person staffing them. So I went to customer service with my order confirmation number only to be told they won’t be available for 2 hours. I politely said there’s a bunch in the case can’t you just grab me one. Unfortunately, she said, the system selects a particular one to be released so I’d have to wait. Don’t think I’ve ever been to a Best Buy that wouldn’t let me buy a product and leave without this type of hassle. I canceled my order immediately. The point of coming in was to walk in and walk out with the item. Driving away I got notification that my order was ready so it appears that the individual working the customer service/order pick up lane was mistaken. Won’t be back.

A sales person saw my friend and I looking at appliances and assisted my friend with finding what they needed (price,size, color and etc.) Made sure item was in stock, confirmed delivery date, address and removal.
Helpful and knowledgeable salespersons though they’re quite busy.
