Came in looking for a chrome tablet… got directed to the display area. Spent a least 15 minutes browsing and waiting for a rep to show when the theft alarm went off. A representative showed up near us. I asked him a question and he seemed distracted and inattentive. He stated that he is helping out other customers. After we figured out what we needed we approached him again to check on the model we wanted. Observations and recommendations based on non verbal cues: 1. If he was unable to help us, he could have told us he was helping other customers and would ask someone to help us. 2. We were able to narrow down our options and found the appropriate one for her. The representative was able to get us hooked up with the Best Buy store off Princess Anne near Landstown (positive experience). 2. Using the Apple Pay option took longer than expected because of him not pressing the right keys or system issues. 3. After printing the receipt he left without letting us know where he was going. My nine year old granddaughter who would be using the tablet asked me… “Hey Baba where is he going?” I told her I think he is going to get the receipt. Her response? “Why so far?” 4. Got the receipt and drove to the store off Princess Anne… upon arrival at the Princess Anne store I could tell right off the bat the difference in level of customer service between the two stores. The employees on the front doubling as greeter and loss control are friendly with genuine smiles. The employee at the pick up desk was friendly and accommodating as well.
