Because I only order from Best Buy about once a year, I always forget how awful the experience is until I’m rudely reminded the following year. Shockingly, their terrible shipping never improves year to year. Without fail, every single item they ship arrives damaged or broken—it doesn't matter if it's a delicate electronic device or a sturdy non-electronic item.
The worst part is how this terrible company handles their mistakes. Phone support is 100% useless and customer service is nonexistent. There are no easy exchange options. Unlike Amazon or Walmart, who actually know how to make things right, Best Buy gives you absolutely zero courtesy credit for your trouble. Instead, they force you to physically drive to a store to handle the return—completely defeating the purpose of paying for the convenience of shipping in the first place.
The sheer level of inconvenience is staggering. They don't respect your time or your money. Save yourself the massive hassle and shop elsewhere. it is simply not worth ever shopping at Best Buy.
I am currently standing and waiting in the customer service line so that I can pay for my one single item, a keyboard, and get on with my day. Why am I in the customer service line you ask? Because despite they’re being a plethora of on the clock Best Buy employees around they don’t have a regular register open. Everyone paying for an item has to wait for all of the returns that are also in the same line. Whatever genius thought of this at Best Buy needs to be fired. 13 minutes I’m standing I’ve been standing here to pay for one item. I don’t know if this is a normal practice at every Best Buy or just a one time thing but it needs to never be a thing again.

Was able to renew my service contract within 5 minutes.
The only reason I came here is so I can avoid a crowd at Walmart. But how that was a mistake. I got a headset the lady said it’s a 15 day return unless I buy the 2 year warranty which I did. 19 days later the headset is unusable so I go to exchange with a different brand and long story short they were not trying to refund me the full amount unless I bought there 1 year $30 subscription that extended the return to 60 days instead of 15. Because if I didn’t get that the only thing they can do is store credit so I had to buy a year subscription just to get a refund for the difference in price on a headset I got with my card. LIKE LORDT how does Walmart have a better return policy than yall. Never again.
