Rude and incredibly lacking in customer service. I had scheduled a Geek Squad appointment for 1040 am today to drop off my computer for diagnostics. I was told that this could take up to 3 days, so my assumption was that this would be a simple drop off. On my way to the store, I ran into construction and traffic which put me a bit behind. I pulled into the store parking lot at 1049am. I walked into the store and waited at the Geek Squad counter. Two Best Buy employees were standing and sitting to my right while I waited approximately 5 minutes for a Geek Squad member before one of them approached me and called Geek Squad on the walkie to let them know I was there. I waited another 3-5 minutes approximately before Geek Squad came to the desk. At this point, he told me that I was outside of my 20 minute window and he refused to take my pc. Please note that when I walked out to my car, it was 1057am. I was within the 20 minute window, even after waiting almost 10 minutes for a Geek Squad employee. Due to having to return to work because I was only on my now wasted lunch break, I tried to call the store to make a complaint. However, I was continually routed to the call center who informed me that there was no way to directly contact the store and said that their supervisor was not available to talk to me about my concerns. Then…I went online and tried to find ANYWAY to provide feedback or make a complaint on their website. Even after signing in, searching the site, going through the various customer service options, I never once saw an option to provide feedback. So I chatted with an agent that said I would need to go back to the store to make a complaint in person. Moving forward, I do not plan on doing any business with bestbuy. I will get my electronics through other means. As far as my PC goes, I found a local business that can get me in as a walk in and will have it diagnosed within about 30 minutes for $50. Half the charge of the Geek Squad while also being significantly faster.
