Very disappointing experience with Best Buy TV installation service.
The original installer did not complete the installation, became unresponsive, and missed a rescheduled appointment with no notice or communication. We rearranged our schedule multiple times and spent weeks trying to resolve the issue.
What should have been a simple follow-up turned into repeated phone calls, missed appointments, and escalations with no actual resolution.
At this point, we still have an incomplete installation and wasted a significant amount of time dealing with poor customer service and lack of accountability.
Extremely frustrating experience and far below what we expected from Best Buy.

I bought a $200 hard drive at the Everett location with cash. When I checked out, they almost didn’t give me a receipt and instead used my phone number, but I specifically asked for a printed receipt, and they gave me one.
It turned out I got the wrong hard drive, so I saw that the Lynnwood location had the correct one for $30 less. I went there to get a refund for the difference and exchange it for the right drive.
The employee who first helped me took my old drive and my receipt, then said something like, “We’ll just swap them out for you, okay?” as I was walking away. I immediately felt something was off in his voice and figured out what he was trying to do. I found the correct drive I needed and then found another employee to explain that I wanted the money back for the price difference. He walked with me to the cashier.
When we got to the checkout area, the employee who helped me with the new drive asked the first employee if I had a receipt, and he replied very sternly, “No.” He was clearly trying to push for just an exchange.
I can’t prove it, but I have a very strong feeling he was trying to keep the receipt, do the exchange, and process the refund after I left so he could pocket the cash. I’m not stupid.
I also have a feeling this may be a regular practice at that store, based on the fact that there were other receipts in the same area where mine was. It looked like they were stacking them up to pocket the cash later during exchanges or returns.
Please be careful when doing anything here. Stand up for yourself. I had to look behind the counter and find my own receipt just to call them out on their bullshit.
Not only that, the employee gave back incorrect change for the refund, he kept $1 of my refund.
This is completely unacceptable for a huge corporation like Best Buy, I am very unhappy and will never return to this store specifically because I could clearly tell that they were up to something and sweating once I called them out.
I hope the management investigates what I am talking about, your employees are stealing from customers so I definitely hope so. There has to be proof somewhere on those cameras, I can't be the first they tried this with.
