We needed a new refrigerator and had been shopping all day. They had the model we wanted cheaper than Homedepot and Lowes. Rolls was our sales rep and he was great. We set up delivery and installation and they showed up on time and set it up in a jiffy. I would buy from here again.

I typically avoid Best Buy because it is more expensive than other retailers and their customer service has always been frustrating. However, I needed a phone quickly, so on November 25, 2025, I found a Black Friday sale and purchased a $240 Motorola Edge along with a Geek Squad Protection for $69.99. On December 2, the phone’s battery failed catastrophically and began shooting flames from the side, destroying the phone, case, and screen protector. Despite having a clearly defective product within the 2-week return window AND Geek Squad protection, I was charged $45 for a replacement device. Within three weeks, the replacement phone would no longer charge beyond 10 percent. From there, support became a loop. The store could not find my protection plan. I called the main Geek Squad phone number and they confirmed it. Geek Squad sent me back to the store, where they told me they do not replace Android batteries. The in-store Geek Squad members told me to file a claim online. I did what they recommended. The insurer, Assurant, said the phone could not be replaced because the model was discontinued and that my only option was a “buyout.” I was told I would need to pay Assurant $218 so they could reimburse me. Attempts to reach Assurant by phone repeatedly resulted in being disconnected. The protection plan would have ultimately cost more than the phone itself. Even if I did fall for "paying them so they can pay me", they never offered to provide a working replacement, nor did they give me a buyout amount - just a link to send them more money. I cancelled the Geek Squad plan and would not recommend it or Best Buy based on this experience. I used the Motorola Edge to zero my AR, video available. I can attest that it makes an excellent target. Unfortunately, I was unable to get it to start on fire, even with tracers.
