Hopefully you don't have to deal with the Self righteous manager, Jeff. I waited in line with my family (wife and two kids) for a pokemon drop. My daughter begged me to get her some food so I left the line and came back 10 min later. Jeff said I could wait with them but I couldn't buy anything.
I was completely upfront with the checker and didn't want them to get in trouble so, after waiting with my family, I had the checker call Jeff over the radio to confirm that he would in fact not sell me anything and he confirmed. My kids walked out happy and I walked out empty handed.
Thanks for gatekeeping a pack of Pokémon, Jeff. Very honorable of you 👍
