Booked an appointment at Best buy to fix the laptop I bought through them that's still under warranty, however due to some apparent changes in their system they couldn't make the request despite being able to create the appointment to bring it in. I understand they can't really do anything about not being able to send it in, but it is frustrating I made the hour trip prior them to essentially say "you should contact the manufacturer's customer service"; a warning that system issues might cause it to not work or something would have been nice. It felt very unhelpful, I don't hold it against geek squad because again it's not THEIR fault, but that doesn't change my frustration and wasted gas.
I'm giving Best Buy as a whole a 1 star.
They have now made it impossible to talk to anyone in store. You call, and are sent to a call service in a different country. I asked to speak to some in store, and they said they cant do that.
The call service does me no good when I need to go to the store, and they aren't even a person thats there.
ABSOLUTELY WORST THING THIS STORE HAS DONE, EVER!!!
Because of this, I may never enter Best Buy again.

Sometimes a bit overpriced, but always appreciated!
I’ve had 2 seperate geek squad appointments here in the last 6 months and both times were an absolute nightmare. Best Buy has gone so far south since 2019 it’s the last place I want to go for electronics anymore. You chat with them online they tell you your product is under warranty then you get there and they want to charge you to send the product in. I left called the manufacturer and they sent me the shipping label for nothing and said no charge for the diagnostics or repair. Save your time just contact the manufacturer of the product you’re having issues with.
