After litterely spending 10s of thousands of dollars at this store over the last several years I'm done with them over a $30 fee and a crappy guy at the front door. I recently bought another new laptop from them and paid for the top of the line "word" program. After going home and not being able to get it to install I went back to the store on our next trip to janesville to ask for their help. When I walked in I was greeted by a guy and explained what was going on. He said I would have to make an appointment and pay $30 for them to help me. I said "how about if I just return it and go to someone that would actually care and help me". His reply was "sure are you within the 15 day return window" very rudely. I wasn't and told him I thought their $30 policy was BS. He continued to be very rude and confrontational. It was about 10am and the soonest I could get an appointment for something that would take them less than 5 min to do was in the afternoon. I left with my laptop still needing the install. In this day of online purchases the only edge a brick and morter store has is customer service. Sad to say this guy has completely blown it for me with this location. I'll gladly take my money to Elkhorn or another town since we live equally as close to other cities as we do janesville.

I want to talk to someone in Geek Squad at the local store, but every time I call the local number I end up speaking with someone in a call center overseas. When I explained that I want to speak to someone at the store, then literally hung up on me... twice! I dropped off 2 SSDs with Geek Squad early this week because I was having trouble transferring the data off one of them. They said it would take 1-2 days. Now it's day 4 and the work order online hasn't been updated at all. I also tried online chat but that person could only see the same thing I can see online. Personal service has gone out the window since I worked at Best Buy years ago. What a joke.

We took our laptop to the GEEK Squad and was reassured it just needed to be updated we were also told it wouldn’t take long and this is already day 3. When you call you don’t get human and it takes forever. If it wasn’t for the fact there’s not many options for tech support I wouldn’t take anything there. Poor service and communication!

We walked in and workers immediately asked if we needed help with something, then a very nice guy helped us with the broken computer and gave us very useful information. Workers are very nice to say the least!
