I needed to quickly buy a cell phone that was listed as in stock on the Best Buy website. When I arrived at the store, the representative was tied up with other customers, and it took a while before I could get anyone’s attention. The associate who eventually helped me spent a significant amount of time searching for the phone, only to tell me that—despite what the website said—it wasn’t actually in stock. He then tried to upsell me on a different model. I asked if it was possible to order the original phone from another Best Buy location. He said yes and placed the order, telling me I didn’t need a paper receipt because my account and phone number were on file. I insisted on getting a printed receipt anyway—and I’m glad I did. When I went to pick up the phone at the second store, they couldn’t find my order using my phone number. The paper receipt turned out to be essential. Even then, the employee had trouble locating the order and had to consult a colleague. It turns out the first associate hadn’t looked me up correctly due to lack of training. In the end, I still believe Best Buy offers good products at fair prices, but the in-store experience needs serious improvement. Staff availability is inconsistent, employees don’t always seem well-trained or engaged, and simple transactions take longer than they should. Overall, it’s far more convenient to shop online and have items delivered than to deal with the in-store challenges.

Geek Squad is great. MP3 players are reliable. Service is fast & friendly. Geeks replaced my failing hard drive in my laptop, new one had 2x the storage capacity of the one it replaced. I just purchased a new Torras personal neck cooling device. Works well to cool head/neck region in 105 degree F relative heat index.

Was told I would be helped if I went to wait in an area of the store. no one ever came to help me-there were employees in different parts of the store, walking around with other employees in the store, laughing and looking at their cell phones. Two employees, including the manager were hanging around at the very front of the store. I talked with the manager, who clearly didn’t care-this should be an online store only because there’s no one in the store to ever help you-they were probably five customers in the entire store. This store has gone downhill so bad I won’t go back. Shopped at the store for probably the last 20 years so it’s their loss.
