Went in to get a new CPU. Andrew was incredibly helpful as was the guy at geek squad which I did not catch his name. They gave me all the advice I’d need to install it myself when most would charge for it. 10/10

This is why I'm done with Best Buy and you should be too. We scheduled an appliance delivery and installation five times. Each one was a failure. This required at least four phone calls to 800-466-5778 the Geek Squad. On the last attempt, we were scheduled for delivery and installation on March 19th. The Confirmation number was.............. No one showed up. After 16 hours no one had phoned or attempted to reschedule. On March 20th I phoned and spoke with Jessica. She apologized and assured me someone would be in touch within 24 hours. On March 21st and after no one had gotten in touch I called again. The time was 12:58 PM. The Geek Squad person asked my name which I gave him. I ask his name. He replied but I wasn’t able to understand and ask that he spell it. He refused and told me that his name wasn’t going to get this call moved along and was impeding progress. As best I could tell his name may have started with the letters Edm but I can’t be sure. At this point and before losing my temper I felt my best course was to hang up. At no time was I in any way rude or harsh to any of the phone service (Geek Squad) people that I had spoken with. I’ve worked in phone service and have a great deal of empathy for the people in these jobs. After regaining my composure I called back and spoke with Larry. I explained the issue. I canceled the order. By the way, Larry was polite and understood my frustration. I’ve since placed the same order with Lowe’s. They immediately emailed with a delivery day and window. Within an hour they called to be sure that day and time was acceptable to me. Fingers crossed.
